Saying hi!
By in-depth interviews with the inhabitants, social workers, football coach, ... we could get a better image of how daily life works in the social housing complex Peterbos in Anderlecht.
Drawing-excercise
We asked the kids of the elementary school to help us by drawing their family, their house, their favorite playground. I made an easy-readable 'kidsmap' so that we could also map their environment together.

Mapping activities
The social housing complex of Peterbos is physically & mentally isolated.
To inforce the connections that did exist between Peterbos & its surrounding I mapped the different activities in combination with their accesibility (driving & walking).
In this way we hoped to see patterns or interesting flows that we could enhance, but also to intervene when accesibility was too low.

Exploring building blocks
The new railwaystation from Calatrava is the start of a new metropolitan area in the Guillemins district of Liège.
This map was a door to door investigation that evolved to an exploration through the hearts of the building blocks.
It resulted in an interesting typlogy where hidden streets were found behind little doors.
Small communities could survive piecefully within the blocks.
